Wide Receivers

What do we need from this group? A breakout season from a former first-round pick and second-round pick? Yeah, I think we can all agree that it’s overdue.

In 2018 we saw how impressive the offense can be when they get all of the players rolling early in the game instead of putting pressure on them to make plays in the last quarter. With a coordinator determined to get the ball in as many playmakers’ hands as possible we could very well see it again.

Some new blood would be appreciated here as well. Maybe not a high draft pick, but a sixth or seventh-rounder could pay dividends later if they rotate him in every so often with the speedsters they already have. It also wouldn’t hurt to see that person fill the returner void on special teams.

Frisman Jackson is in charge of a critical portion of playmakers on Brady’s offense. Fris’ unit has a lot of grit to them, and we know they’ll put up when the game is on the line. He sees that in this group, but there remains the quandary of whether or not they can live up to the hype after two consecutive seasons of disappointment.
