Bradberry would be stabilizing force in wake of turnover

With a new coaching staff, James Bradberry needs to be re-signed. He is one of the top veteran leaders on that defense, and he would be able to help the team settle into an adjustment year.

When you look at the veterans who have left the Panthers over the last year and a half, the list is staggering. Greg Olsen, Julius Peppers, Luke KuechlyThomas Davis. Those are just some of the names that have left the Carolina Panthers organization. There is no doubt that the organization wants to go in a younger direction, and that’s totally fine. However, you need to have some guys that know what it’s like to play in the National Football League and have experience in leading the way. Bradberry has that experience and knowledge.

Again, the big issue here is the price tag. $15 million is a lot of money. However, the Carolina Panthers would be wise to keep him around. I understand he is going to go where the money is, and I don’t blame him. If they can handle it financially, Carolina should at least consider keeping him. He has meant too much to the organization to not at least consider it.
