The Carolina Panthers are one of just a few teams that will be allowed to start their offseason program now. It’s all about rebuilding their culture with Matt Rhule leading the charge.

Luckily for the Carolina Panthers, they are getting a nice headstart to their offseason program thanks to a new head coach in town. Since the Carolina Panthers are one of a handful of teams with new head coaches debuting this season, they’re officially allowed to begin their offseason program right now. New head coach Matt Rhule is undoubtedly excited to finally get down to starting his new job already.

As per David Newton of ESPN, he confirmed that the Panthers join the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns, and Washington Redskins that are eligible to start the long journey ahead towards the upcoming season. It won’t be easy for the Panthers as they’re going to do their best to rebuild now for a brighter future but it all starts with Rhule.

He has a golden opportunity to start instilling a brand new culture across the entire organization. Over the last few years, the Panthers lacked that fire to get the job done week in, week out. You know, that sense of urgency that unless you’re constantly winning, there is always something to work on and players to hold accountable until you achieve major success.

It’s no secret that Rhule has been slowly but surely bringing in several of his old players he knows can be catalysts to rebuilding the locker room the right way. Players that have tasted what it’s like to win and be a part of something special in the long term.

In the grand scheme of things, bringing in players from his old college football days of coaching at Temple and Baylor could be a recipe for success.

It’s imperative that the Panthers forget the past and focus on the future. It’ll take about two to three years for everything to hopefully come together but with a good head coach in Rhule ready to take this rebuild head-on, things will get better.

Rhule is a players coach that keeps everything lighthearted but laser-focused on the task at hand. He’s not afraid to get into the heads of his players but also shows why certain things need to happen in order to field a winning team.

Overall, this is going to be an interesting ride for the Panthers and their loyal fanbase as they get a head start to rebuilding their culture with Rhule leading the charge. If he’s able to get everyone on board, which will take time but is certainly possible, the Panthers will be competitive sooner rather than later.  It’s an exciting start of a hopefully better era with a culture built on working hard, player development, and overall execution. If there is anyone that can build it the right way, it’s Rhule.
