Marquez Callaway (Tennessee)

Marquez Callaway is another speed merchant that can give an NFL team a downfield threat. He has a tremendous amount of good film and college production under his belt that will ensure he is drafted next month.

The player does his best work on the sideline as he has a real quick burst that can get him past opposing cornerbacks. Callaway’s tools were not utilized fully in Tennessee and this brings another level of intrigue as to what he can bring in an offense that plays to his strengths.

Callaway has incredible hand-eye coordination which has brought some notable highlights from his college career. He also has brilliant composure catching the ball under pressure that is another lasting element to his film.

One would expect Callaway to bulk up during his time in the NFL. He has encountered real difficulty when coming up against more physical corners that jam him on the line of scrimmage. His route running also needs improvement, but his skill-set should enable improvement on this front.

The player ended his time with the Vols’ by recording 30 receptions for 635 yards and six touchdowns. This also included a hugely impressive 21.2 yards-per-catch average.

Callaway would be a welcome addition for a Carolina Panthers receiving group and would provide a useful presence in specialist situations during the early stages of his development.
