6 quarterbacks the Panthers could draft in 2020

Cole McDonald – (Hawaii)
Cole McDonald benefitted enormously from Hawaii’s gung-ho offense to showcase his talent. He is a development project that could end up being a useful player at the next level.
He possesses a big frame and has a strong arm that can push the ball downfield at will. McDonald can fit the ball into space and is fearless when it comes to throwing into tight coverages.
McDonald appears a highly motivated individual on film and has no problem rising to the big occasion. This is something he seems to relish and can also influence the game well from a rushing perspective for a man his size.
His throwing motion needs considerable work if McDonald is going to make a successful transition to the pros. He needs to release the ball quicker against quicker NFL defensive lineman to avoid further complications down the line.
The gunslinger also suffers from accuracy issues when things were a little out of sync in Hawaii. McDonald’s unpredictability when it comes to timing is going to have to trend upward from the outset of his professional career.
He is a good late-round pick that can develop into something better. The Carolina Panthers could do a lot worse than taking McDonald and sitting him behind Teddy Bridgewater for a couple of seasons.
This could do his overall chances of becoming an NFL starter the world of good and there is an enormous amount of potential where McDonald is concerned.
