5 prospects the Panthers don’t want to see in the NFC South

D’Andre Swift – RB (Georgia)
Running back D’Andre Swift is coming off an outstanding final college season in Georgia that has seen him enter first-round NFL Draft discussion later this month.
Swift averaged 6.2 yards per carry on his way to 1,216 yards in 2019. This also included seven touchdowns, 24 receptions, and 216 yards receiving yards.
The player possesses a strong frame for an NFL running back and has a quality burst that gets him to the second level quickly in space. His stock has risen considerably during the evaluation process and he comes into the NFL with minimal damage to his body given the Bulldogs’ use of multiple backs.
This can only mean good things for Swift going forward. The player got some useful experience alongside Sony Michel and Nick Chubb during his freshman year and thrived with the extra responsibility in his final college season.
At 5-foot-8, Swift is a little on the small side for an every-down back. But that does not mean he cannot become one. His dual-threat potential is huge and this is an area of the field that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be looking to strengthen during the draft.
They have a Pro Bowl wide receiver duo in Chris Godwin and Mike Evans, in addition to their high-profile new quarterback Tom Brady. If the Bucs’ can add a productive running back such as Swift that can contribute immediately, then it could be the missing piece of their offensive puzzle.
