The Carolina Panthers are in need of some interior offensive line depth ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft, but which mid-round prospects could make an impact?

Offensive guard is a position where the Carolina Panthers need to strengthen in the 2020 NFL Draft. This might not come with their first few selections. But it is something they are definitely going to address in the mid-to-late rounds.

Perennial Pro Bowler Trai Turner is no longer with the franchise after he was traded to the Los Angeles Chargers for left tackle Russell Okung. This might have solidified the edge for new quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. But it has left the guard positions lacking in overall quality.

The Panthers invested a great amount in improving their offense during free agency. While this was welcome during a period of transition, it has left them needing to focus their first few Draft selections on the defensive side of the ball.

Once this area of the field has been addressed, it will be up to the organization’s decision-makers to find some diamonds in the rough that can contribute immediately. The NFC South is set to be an unforgiving environment in 2020 and any weaknesses on the offensive line are sure to be exploited by some formidable-looking pass-rushers within the division.

If the Panthers can strike gold in the Draft, they will at least have some chance of remaining competitive in 2020. Here are five prospects that will be worth considering when Carolina makes their selections next week.
