6 offensive guards the Carolina Panthers could draft in 2020

Hakeem Adeniji – (Kansas)
Hakeem Adeniji is a vastly experienced college prospect who enjoyed a tremendous amount of success at Kansas. He operated at left tackle during the majority of his career. But there is a real hope the player could thrive if moved over to the guard spot.
He has tremendous overall mobility and plays with a good length. Another standout feature of Adeniji’s game is the way he blocks well in space.
The player’s footwork and mirroring skills in pass protection need considerable work if he is going to make a success of the next stage of his career. This makes a transition to guard a realistic proposition while Adeniji adjusts to life in the NFL.
There is still something to work with regarding the player. Adeniji is a good athlete and what he lacks in power he more than makes up for with football nous. Putting too much pressure on the player in the immediate future would be detrimental to his chances of potentially securing a starting spot.
The Carolina Panthers look set at the tackle positions in2020 and possibly beyond. This would allow Adeniji to plug in at guard and take the pressure off somewhat during the opening stages of his professional development.
Any team that is considering Adeniji will also need to be sure his surgery to repair labrums on both shoulders after the 2017 season will not have a long-term impact on his career.
