The Carolina Panthers have some huge holes to fill heading into the 2020 NFL Draft, but which players should they be looking to take?

The 2020 NFL Draft promises to be a pivotal one for the Carolina Panthers. They are currently going through a period of transition and will need to strike big with their selections in order to remain competitive next season.

With just eight picks at their disposal heading into next week, there is plenty at stake for the franchise. While the Panthers do have the option of trading down to acquire more selections in the first two rounds, their defense is in desperate need of some elite talent that can become the cornerstone of the organization going forward.

Head coach Matt Rhule will be all too aware of the need to boot the interior of their offensive line after Trai Turner was traded to the Los Angeles Chargers in exchange for Pro Bowl left tackle Russell Okung. This has left a gaping hole in the middle which could complicate new quarterback Teddy Bridgewater‘s chances of making an instant impression after signing a three-year, $63 million deal in free agency.

It promises to be a very intriguing three days for the Panthers’ fanbase, who are now almost resigned to a period of transition for the roster. They lost some influential locker room figures in Luke Kuechly, Cam Newton and James Bradberry, who signed a free-agent deal with the New York Giants.

So, which college prospects could the Panthers end up with by the time all picks are in?
