Cornerback. Iowa. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Michael Ojemudia. 113. 87

Michael Ojemudia is a physical cornerback that is sure to warrant consideration by the Carolina Panthers. They are looking to add depth and competition at the corner spot, which they will need in what is expected to be a pass-happy NFC South in 2020.

Ojemudia secured a starting spot as a junior in the 2018 season and hasn’t looked back. In his final two seasons at Iowa, the player is credited with 91 tackles and six interceptions.

Analyst Joe Marino from The Draft Network offered the following scouting report on the exciting prospect:

"“Michael Ojemudia profiles as a zone corner where his awareness, size, length and ball skills can be correctly taken advantage of. While he has the physical traits needed to win in man coverage, the reps of him doing so in college are few and far between. Generally speaking, Ojemudia is a physical player that is willing to trigger downhill and tackle. In college, Ojemudia did a great job of trusting his landmarks, leveraging routes and limiting production against him when targeted. While he may not profile as a high impact starter, Ojemudia has the makings of an adequate starter in the right scheme at the next level by year 2 – 3.”"
