The Carolina Panthers could be looking to improve their secondary in the 2020 NFL Draft, with LSU safety Grant Delpit a player to consider.

Grant Delpit is a National Champion who will be looking to take his incredible recent momentum into the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Carolina Panthers are in need of some safety help after parting ways with Eric Reid. They did re-sign Tre Boston on a three-year deal worth $18 million that included an $8 million signing bonus and a further $8 million in guarantees.

Juston Burris was also brought in on a two-year, $8 million contract after a two-year stint with the Cleveland Browns. But more will be needed in the ultra-competitive NFC South if the Panthers are to stand any chance of making an impact.

Delpit enjoyed a tremendous final season with the Tigers to further enhance his reputation as one of the brightest prospects in the country. He notched 65 tackles, two interceptions, two sacks, and seven pass breakups during his 2019 campaign.

The player showed substantial improvement in his third year after being exposed on numerous occasions as a sophomore. Delpit learned quickly and has the length to be a real difference-maker on the back end.

The talented defender can perform well at both safety positions and although it would be beneficial for him to add some muscle mass, he has everything a team looks for in a safety at the next level.

He is projected to be a late first or early second-round Draft selection next week, which represents good value for a player with tremendous upside at the next level.
