2020 NFL Mock Draft: Carolina Panthers land Brown, Jeudy to Jets, More
In this 2020 NFL Mock Draft, it’s a complete look at every pick in Round 1. The Carolina Panthers land Derrick Brown, Jerry Jeudy joins the New York Jets, and many more surprise selections.
As the 2020 NFL Draft is almost upon us, it’s going to be an interesting and well, historic event. With what is going on in the world, for the first time in event history, this year’s draft will be completely virtual. After watching this yearly event for a few decades now, excitement will be in the air to see how the NFL pulls this off.
Who knows, this could very well be the blueprint for other sporting leagues to consider for upcoming virtual drafts. At any rate, this year’s draft promises to be a great one. By the looks of things, it’s pretty heavy in the wide receiver department as well as for offensive linemen.
Oh yes, ladies and gentlemen, it might not be an all that attractive pick, but offensive linemen will indeed be flying off draft boards throughout this full first-round NFL mock draft. Speaking of which, let’s breakdown how this will all transpire from here on out.
Please keep in mind that in this full first-round mock NFL draft, there will be no trades as the complete draft order will be mocked as is at this point in time. They’ll be some surprising selections by teams including the big realization that some quarterbacks will actually drop lower than originally predicted. Let’s begin!
It’s no secret that the Cincinnati Bengals need to draft their future franchise quarterback immediately. With the No. 1 overall pick, the Bengals will select quarterback Joe Burrow, the best of the best when it comes to the most important position on a team.
Burrow was the talk of all football for everything he achieved at LSU as he ended his collegiate career doing his part to win a National College Football Championship. He’s a Heisman Trophy winner and proved that he can be the next face of a franchise for a struggling team in dire need of a quarterback like the Bengals.
Burrow is as accurate as they come with a 68.8 completion percentage, over 75 touchdowns thrown, and a proven leader in the locker room. Hopefully, in a few years, Burrow can finally lead the Bengals to some better memories if they ever make it back to being a playoff-contending team.
New head coach Ron Rivera has a tall task ahead to fix the Washington Redskins. It won’t be easy but over the past few years, they haven’t had a real identity of defense. You know, the kind of identity that can intimidate opposing offenses and prove that they can stop anyone in front of their way.
The Redskins know that they will arguably get the best defensive player in this year’s draft by selecting defensive end Chase Young out of Ohio State. In just three seasons, Young totaled 30.5 sacks, 98 tackles, and 40.5 tackles for loss.
Young is such an elite pass rusher that he will be a household name for many years to come on the Redskins. The future is bright as Rivera should be able to build a high-quality supporting cast around Young to bring some respect back to the Redskins’ defense.
