Heading into the 2020 NFL Draft, here is a live tracker tracking all the latest news, rumors, and selections of the Carolina Panthers as they enter Day 3.
So far, the Carolina Panthers have kept to their word and come out the gates swinging when it comes to bolstering their defense in the 2020 NFL Draft. Theyβve made some excellent decisions to upgrade their defensive line and even add a stud of a safety to their secondary. By the looks of things, theyβll more than likely focus on adding a linebacker to the mix and possibly a cornerback in the final rounds of this yearβs draft.
Besides those positional groups, the only other areas of need the Panthers might consider addressing would be on offense. They could use more depth on their offensive line and adding another tight end wouldnβt hurt in the grand scheme of things. Keep in mind, the Panthers did trade up last night and gave up a draft pick in the process.
As of right now, they have four picks left in this yearβs draft class to work with. There is no telling if general managerΒ Marty Hurney will continue to make moves to move up in the draft order again but itβs unlikely. Since the Panthers are trying to rebuild now for a better future, it makes more sense to either keep the draft picks they currently have or try and acquire more by trading down.
