Jon Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock have brought some exciting young players into the organization via the NFL Draft over the last two years. Former Alabama wideout Henry Ruggs III was their first-round choice this season and he has a significant amount of upside to go with some truly elite speed.
Second-year running back Josh Jacobs enjoyed a standout rookie campaign and with another step forward in 2020, he could emerge as one of the best players at the position. Tight end Darren Waller is another potential stud that gives quarterback Derek Carr plenty of options during what is a do-or-die campaign for the signal-caller with Marcus Mariota breathing down his neck.
The Raiders’ defense also boats a dominant offensive line, which will make things difficult for the Carolina Panthers’ strong-looking defensive front.
Their defense has plenty of playmakers who play with the ruthless aggression that is normally associated with a Gruden team. This will make things difficult for Carolina when they welcome the Raiders to Bank of America Stadium at some point during the campaign.
