How will the Panthers cope?

There is no reason to suggest the Panthers schedule is going to cause any undue pressure on the franchise. While it is a much-changed roster full of young, exciting talent. They do have some veterans to lean on and this is going to be pivotal during the transition.

Not having a bye until week 13 is far from ideal. And it would be a huge surprise if the Panthers were in anything like a contending position by this point. This could allow the coaching staff to take some players who are feeling the effects of such a brutal schedule out of the firing line down the stretch.

This might look like it sends out the wrong message. But what is the point in playing people who are not healthy when the team is not in a position to reach the postseason? Simply put, giving them rest when needed would do their chances of becoming a contender quicker no harm at all.

While they might not be looking in this particular direction. It would also allow the Panthers to be in contention for another high-end NFL Draft pick in 2021 which could add an elite prospect to further enhance their hopes of a quick rebuild.

Taking on this challenge is something each player on the Panthers roster should relish. They go into the season with plenty to prove across the board and how they come out of it will go a long way to determining just what success can come their way in the years ahead.
