The Carolina Panthers draft selections will need to be ready for an instant contribution, but what are the areas of concern for their top four picks?

While the Carolina Panthers draft team produced a historic series of picks that will go down in folklore. But the onus will be on their top selections coming in to make the necessary adjustments in order to contribute right away.

The Panthers draft team picked versatile players that were capable of playing multiple positions. Matt Rhule is going to need this during the first year of an expected rebuild as he looks to transform the fortunes of the franchise in the coming years.

It is not going to be easy for them to be thrown to the wolves, so to speak. The class of 2020 is going to have to learn by doing and this is sure to come with some inconsistencies during their first year in a professional environment.

This is to be expected and is one of the reasons Rhule is probably getting a pass whatever record the Panthers end up securing in 2020. The pressure will increase with every passing season. But for now, it is all about development and whether the team shows promise in a difficult situation.

The Panthers draft class of 2020 will have more responsibility on their shoulders than most other college recruits around the NFL. This is particularly evident with the higher picks and they will need to alleviate some of the concerns that blighted them during the evaluation process.
