Los Angeles Chargers (Week 3)

In week three of the season, the Panthers head to Inglewood, California to help break in the Los Angeles Chargers’ brand new So-Fi stadium. Since moving from San Diego to LA, the team has overpacked the small Dignity Health Sports Park most weeks. In 2018 and 2019, they averaged over 100 percent capacity in the 27,000-seat arena.

Pair the new stadium, new(ish) city, and a top 10 quarterback draftee in Justin Herbert and the franchise has got the recipe for a lot of excited fans, especially early in the season.

One would expect the Chargers faithful to more than fill 70,000+ seats in its opening weeks if they’re allowed inside.

However, California is a state that has taken Covid-19 very seriously and could very possibly ban or limit attendance during the 2020 season. If the Panthers instead arrive at an echoey, new stadium the playing field could quickly be leveled for the two teams.

This might have some benefit that could see the team in with a chance of picking up what is expected to be a rare win on the Panthers schedule. Although the Chargers have plenty of questions to answer at quarterback. Their roster is littered with game-changing players on both sides of the ball and if everything clicks then the organization is going to be a real force to be reckoned with in 2020.
