By Dean Jones
The Carolina Panthers preseason schedule sees them take on the Baltimore Ravens on national TV, which could have some exciting individual matchups.
It is going to be an immensely important Carolina Panthers preseason schedule in 2020. This will be a good opportunity for the young roster to get some much needed time on the field together in the hope of causing a few surprises when competitive action begins.
They will face a stern test of their credentials during week three of the Panthers preseason against the Baltimore Ravens. The contest has also been chosen for national television coverage which adds another exciting element to the clash.
The Ravens were one of the NFL’s standout teams in 2019 and have game-changing players in almost every area of the field. However, they come into next season with plenty to prove after another disappointing postseason that saw them fall at the first hurdle to the Tennessee Titans.
This will be the acid test on the Panthers preseason calendar. It is going to tell new head coach Matt Rhule and other staff plenty about what sort of players they have at their disposal next season. With the majority of starters also expected to play a full half, building chemistry will be more important than the actual result itself.
The game is also going to see some fascinating individual battles that could go a long way to determining who emerges victorious. Here are three projected matchups that will be well worth keeping an eye on for whatever time they are on the field together.
