Carolina Panthers Teddy Bridgewater is making all the right noises as he prepares to lead the team forward in 2020.

It is hard not to like new Carolina Panthers quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. His fun-loving exterior is infectious and this is matched by a fierce determination and desire to succeed.

The Carolina Panthers invested a lot in the quarterback becoming a significant asset to the franchise this offseason. They gave the former first-round pick a three-year, $63 million deal that included a $15 million signing bonus and $33 million guaranteed to get him off the free-agent market in double-quick time.

This is not expected to be a season of contending for the Carolina Panthers. They are going through some changes and any ambitious plans of regaining the NFC South title will have to wait in favor of more realistic goals.

Bridgewater is going to get the chance to lead the organization for the considerable future. And there is real hope he can add a more reliable option at signal-caller after so much inconsistency in 2019.

In a recent interview with Peter King, Bridgewater is clearly relishing the prospect of starting prominently once again after a career-threatening injury hampered his chances of a Super Bowl tilt with the Minnesota Vikings.

"“It’s a blessing to be back in this position that I’m in. Having someone believe in you, having an organization that believes in you and gives you the keys and says, ‘Here, this is your opportunity,’ that’s all that I’ve asked for. I know that it’s a difficult time right now and I’m not able to be around the guys, but with technology, we can FaceTime each other. We can call each other. We can meet. Guys have questions, it’s easy to get access to each other.”"

When one has been through what the Panthers man under center has over the last few seasons, it is understandable as to why he is so grateful for the opportunity. That being said, Bridgewater has had to work immensely hard to get back to health and get another shot.

This sort of attitude will stand him in good stead as he looks to make an instant impression in Carolina. Bridgewater is making all the right noises ahead of Panthers’ training camp. But the time for talk will be over sooner than he thinks.
