Bridgewater making the right noises ahead of training camp
By Dean Jones
Can Teddy Bridgewater make an instant impact on Carolina Panthers?
This is both the easiest time for new Carolina Panthers quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to stamp his mark on the organization. He has not met his teammates officially face-to-face due to the coronavirus pandemic. And they need to be firing on all cylinders from the start of camp to ensure the offense is raring to go in week one.

The Carolina Panthers did a tremendous job of putting some notable pieces around him. So Bridgewater will have plenty to work with providing the revamped offensive line allows the player to go through his progressions.
While the pressure might be off the Panthers overall to make a lasting impression in 2020, the same does not apply for Bridgewater. Even though he was given a three-year deal, the former New Orleans Saint is going to be looking over his shoulder if Carolina is in a position to take a top-tier quarterback in the 2021 NFL Draft.
However, Bridgewater’s personality is something that his teammates have no trouble getting behind. He is a lively locker room presence who knows when to get down to business. It’s easy to forget the Panthers’ new signal-caller is just 27-years-old given what he has been through during an eventful career to date. And if he can return to the player of old it is going to help the franchise out considerably during a period of transition.
This season represents some high stakes for veterans on the Panthers’ roster looking for a lengthier stay in the starting lineup. The same also applies to Bridgewater, and everyone within the organization and across the NFL will be rooting for him.
