The Carolina Panthers schedule features some tricky defenses in 2020, but which will be the most difficult to overcome?

It is going to be an eventful season if the Carolina Panthers schedule is any indication. They have some tough-looking games that might see them secure another losing record with their revamped roster.

New head coach Matt Rhule will look at the Panthers schedule as a potential for growth. Nothing is expected in terms of reaching the postseason or beyond. So it will be an opportunity for the former Baylor man to find out what works and which players fit his long-term profile.

Their defense remains an area of concern despite the franchise now boasting an impressive defensive front. This means it will be more important than ever for their offense to put up good numbers in a bid to give them a fighting chance down the line.

Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater should provide an element of consistency under center that was sorely lacking in 2019. They also have the best dual-threat running back in the NFL in Christian McCaffrey, who is coming into the campaign with a four-year extension worth $64 million.

Bridgewater also has some quality weapons at the wide receiver spot in D.J. Moore, Robby Anderson, Curtis Samuel, and Seth Roberts. Much is also expected of tight end Ian Thomas as he finally gets the chance to move out of Greg Olsen’s shadow.

The offensive line is full of new faces and remains an uncertain area of the field. This is something opposing defenses will be looking to exploit if it performs below expectations.

Here are the top three defenses they will come up against on the Panthers schedule in 2020.
