Panthers schedule: No. 3 defense – Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs’ offense took the limelight when they claimed their first-ever Super Bowl triumph in 2019. But the exceptional standard of their defense down the stretch also played a leading role in their eventual success.
This is going to give the group an untold amount of confidence heading into next season. This means the Carolina Panthers are going to have their work cut out trying to keep pace with the Chiefs in all areas of the field when they travel to Arrowhead Stadium in 2020.

Chris Jones is one of the best defensive tackles in the business and will be playing on the franchise tag next season. Another strong campaign would almost guarantee he receives a multi-million dollar extension either with the Chiefs or another organization. Alex Okafor and Frank Clark provide a cutting edge to their pass-rush that also features their intriguing draft pick Willie Gay Jr. at the outside linebacker spot.
Their secondary also has some elite players to call upon. The most notable is safety Tyrann Mathieu, who has enjoyed something of a renaissance in Kansas City and provides a tough proposition to get behind in the passing game.
This will be a game that little is expected of the Carolina Panthers. They are nowhere near the level of the Chiefs currently and this will probably be reflected in the score. However, this is going to be a massive measuring stick for their young roster and something each player can look to emulate in the years to come.
