Ryan Ramczyk – Weeks 7 and 17 on Carolina Panthers schedule

The New Orleans Saints will be a formidable proposition for the Carolina Panthers in 2020. They have gone all-in on winning a Super Bowl during what will be Drew Brees’ final season before he heads off into the sunset.

Yetur Gross-Matos will get the chance to showcase his superb skill set against one of the best in the business twice during his rookie season. Ryan Ramczyk is an accomplished blocker with exceptional hand placement and footwork. These elements could cause the Panthers’ rookie real problems and it will be interesting to see how he gets on.

Ramczyk has played almost every down for the Saints since he arrived in the league as the No. 32 overall pick back in 2017. He did not allow a single sack last season from more than 1,000 snaps, which is a further testament to his overall influence on the franchise.

This is arguably Gross-Matos’ sternest test of the season. But if he can emerge from the encounter with any encouraging signs, it will be a huge confidence boost and one he can take into the coming years.

While Gross-Matos will be salivating at the prospect of coming up against a player of the quality Ramczyk possesses. The Panthers coaching staff should be wary of putting too much on his shoulders. This might have an adverse effect on his overall development, and fortunately, the roster has some experienced players who can off some of the heat.
