Omar Bayless and Jordan Mack will make the Carolina Panthers 53-man roster

The action will be hot and heavy during training camp for those looking to earn a spot on the Carolina Panthers’ 53-man roster. Plenty will feel they have a shot providing they play up to their respective levels both during sessions and in preseason games.

Two such names that will warrant significant consideration are undrafted free-agent duo Omar Bayless and Jordan Mack. Both slipped through the net and come with a superb amount of upside that the Panthers would be foolish not to explore closely.

Bayless was one of the most prolific wide receivers in the college system last year on his way to 93 receptions, 1,653 yards, and 17 touchdowns. This also included a yards-per-catch average of 17.8 and a wealth of eye-catching route-running moves on film.

Despite this, no team decided to take a gamble on him, which might work in the Panthers’ favor. Bayless would give their receiving core something a little different and he has a real shot of making the roster if he performs as expected.

The same can be said of versatile linebacker Jordan Mack. He is a pass-rushing force from the interior and can also play on the edge if needed. While he is a little undersized for the NFL. The hopeful more than makes up for this with drive, determination, and energy.

If he can showcase this on the field during his time with the franchise, it might leave the coaching staff with no option other than to keep him around.
