Who are the four most important players for the Carolina Panthers in 2020?

The Carolina Panthers made some franchise-changing moves this offseason. This has left the organization relatively devoid of veteran leadership as they head into a period of transition under new head coach Matt Rhule.

Things were never going to be easy for the team following the firing of long-time head coach Ron Rivera. He was such a big part of the franchise that whenever he left, a complete rebuild was soon to follow.

This might be a good thing for the Carolina Panthers in the long run. But whether that comes with any immediate achievement in 2020 is another matter entirely.

Some rookies and players set for a bigger role could step up and play a prominent part. However, the onus will be on those with a proven track record to deliver consistently to give the Panthers a good chance of defying the consensus opinion regarding a campaign of struggles.

If the Panthers manage to get good production from players who are expected to lead the organization to contender status in the coming years. Then this is going to do their aspirations no harm at all. It is going to be a collective effort to get Carolina back to prominence. And a challenge that must be embraced by everyone who manages to make the 53-man roster.

Although not much is expected of the Panthers in terms of a winning record. That should not detract from what a pivotal campaign it is for the franchise. If they can show promising signs, then it would give the fanbase huge hope for the future.

However, if things go pear-shaped once again it would leave far more questions than answers in terms of the actual length of this expected rebuild.
