Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa (Week 3 on Carolina Panthers schedule)

The Los Angeles Chargers have some supreme pass-rushers at their disposal in Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa. They alternate a lot on the defensive line to keep opposing players on their toes. And Russell Okung will know exactly what to expect from them having been part of the same team in recent seasons.

Okung and the Carolina Panthers travel to Los Angeles in week three, which will also see them come up against their former perennial Pro Bowl guard Trai Turner. Bosa and Ingram are arguably the NFL’s best pass-rushing tandem and have a rare ability to wreak havoc on any given down.

Bosa burst onto the scene out of Ohio State to become an indispensable member of the Chargers’ roster. He has an exceptional pass-rushing repertoire than can beat opposing lineman any way he chooses.

The former third overall pick notched 12 sacks in 2019, which was tied-10th across the league. He is going to benefit from space-eating free-agent arrival Linval Joseph on the interior. So it would be a surprise if he did not equal or top this total next time around.

Ingram provides a nice foil on the other side of the field. And he can also cause significant problems when he is in the mood. His six sacks in 2019 did not tell the full story about what impact he had on the field. And this is another early-season outing is another that is going to leave Okung with his hands full.
