What could be the biggest challenges awaiting the Carolina Panthers in 2020?
The Carolina Panthers go into 2020 with plenty of questions to answer after a frenzied period of activity this offseason. New head coach Matt Rhule has been incredibly active with a view to turning around the fortunes of the franchise in the coming years.
While this is not necessarily going to come with immediate success. It is imperative that the roster show signs of life and remain competitive as the Carolina Panthers look to become a contender in the future. It will be interesting to see how this young group gets on in the face of such stern competition on the schedule.
Almost every part of the roster looks far different from the one that took the field for their final game last season. This change was a necessity given the number of unproductive veterans they had. But it remains to be seen just how long this period of transition is going to last.
This is a challenging period for the Panthers and society in general. The current climate has prevented face-to-face team activities. And Carolina is going to feel the effects of a shortened offseason more than most.
Rhule is getting a relatively free pass in terms of the record he attains in 2020. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t some pressure on the former Baylor man to at least put the foundations in place to get things right early on.
