What players can’t the Carolina Panthers lose to injury in 2020?

While not much is expected of the Carolina Panthers next season. There is some real hope that they can surprise people as the campaign progresses.

This will ultimately come down to how the team bonds in a relatively short space of time. And the onus will be on their coaching staff to ensure each member of the 53-man roster is suitably prepared for the challenges that lie ahead.

If the Carolina Panthers want to make a go of things in 2020. They will need all their key men healthy for 16 games to stand a realistic chance of success. That might be easier said than done in today’s NFL. But this is a roster that appears to devoid of any significant depth given the wealth of changes undertaken to rid the roster of overpaid veterans who were failing to live up to their billing.

Head coach Matt Rhule will no doubt go into the season with his eyes wide open. He will know their chances of mounting a postseason push are slim. But he will still need to ensure that the franchise starts trending in the right direction with a view to being a possible contender in the coming years.

Rhule has been a master of this during his college career. And he has made a good start to life in the NFL during difficult circumstances. However, his plans might be derailed substantially if one of the more important players on the Panthers roster goes down for a long period of time.

Here are five Panthers that the team cannot afford to be injured at any stage next season.
