The Carolina Panthers have made wholesale changes to their roster during the offseason. This has completely transformed their roster and left it relatively devoid of any real veteran leadership.
This was to be expected when new head coach Matt Rhule arrived. He has a good reputation for rebuilding college programs and there is real hope he can do the same with the Carolina Panthers.
There appears to little expectations regarding the Panthers next season. And that could be just what this young roster needs to take the pressure off. They have the chance to develop on the job. But this might come with a few complications along the way.
When one looks at the number of quality players that have either been released, retired, or departed in free agency. It has been an unprecedented period since the 2019 campaign ended. And although some were moved on for the greater good. Others that were performing to a high standard will be missed.
The Panthers are to be commended for going younger. This sort of move has been needed for quite some time as the organization became somewhat stagnant during the last couple of seasons under Ron Rivera.
It is going to be a season full of ups and downs for the Panthers. How the group responds to the challenges that lie ahead will tell their fanbase all they need to know about their prospects going forward.
