Which players should have won a Super Bowl during their time with the Carolina Panthers?

The Carolina Panthers are still looking for their first-ever Super Bowl victory. The franchise had a couple of very near misses since its inception. But they appear some way off from contending for a Vince Lombardi Trophy once again.

It is clear that something special is building with the Carolina Panthers. They have some ambitious plans to transform the organization off the field. And it will be up to the decision-makers to ensure they have a roster of enormous potential by the time these dreams become a reality.

That being said, it is going to take some time. Head coach Matt Rhule has laid the foundation. But the Panthers’ unproven roster has more questions than answers going into the season.

Their relative lack of aspirations currently hasn’t always been the case. The Panthers have had some real quality over their 25-year history. And this has also included some truly exceptional individual performers that will go down in folklore.

It is a shame that certain players did not end up winning a Super Bowl with the Panthers. Most went on to achieve success elsewhere. But this does not detract from what a significant impact they had in Carolina’s rise to prominence over the last two decades.

There are a lot of candidates for players that deserved to win a Super Bowl with the Panthers. But we narrowed it down to five who were probably the most unlucky to miss out on a ring.
