Carolina Panthers: Steal from Atlanta Falcons – Grady Jarrett (DT)
Although the Atlanta Falcons boast the likes of Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley. The Carolina Panthers look set at wide receiver with a talented trio in D.J. Moore, Robby Anderson, and Curtis Samuel in 2020.
Where they do need more help in 2020 and beyond is on defense. Therefore, the “steal” player chosen is defensive tackle Grady Jarrett. The former fifth-round pick has risen steadily to become one of the league’s best at the position. This was reflected in an exceptional 2019 campaign that saw him emerge as the one beacon of hope for the organization.
Despite the Falcons’ defensive woes last season. Jarrett still put up lofty numbers on his way to a phenomenal 90.1 grade from Pro Football Focus.
This included 69 combined tackles, 38 solo tackles, 7.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. Jarrett was a significant disruptor on the interior and seemed to take his game to different heights in his fifth year.

It is hard to comprehend the instant impact Jarrett would have in Carolina. Pairing him with No. 7 overall pick Derrick Brown and Kawann Short could give the franchise defensive tackle tandem in 2020.
Jarrett could then be paired with Brown for the foreseeable future, with Short set to be moved on following the campaign due to the $20.8 million he is set to count against the Panthers’ salary cap.
