Carolina Panthers: Stealing a player from every NFC South rival

Carolina Panthers: Steal from New Orleans Saints – Ryan Ramczyk (OT)
The Carolina Panthers have quietly put together some nice pieces on offense heading into 2020. However, their offensive line has some serious questions. And how this patchwork unit pulls together in what little time they have during training camp is going to be crucial.
This was an area of real concern for the Panthers last season. And it remains to be seen how this new-look group will get on without their perennial Pro Bowl guard Trai Turner. That is why the “steal” pick from the New Orleans Saints is their stud offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk.
The player has been involved in almost every single down for the franchise since his arrival as the No. 32 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He quickly established himself as an elite lineman in the NFL. And Ramczyk seems to be getting better with every passing year.
Ramczyk didn’t give up a single sack in 2019 despite being on the field for 1,068 snaps. This earned him an impressive 90.9 grade from Pro Football Focus as a result of his efforts.
Adding Ramczyk to the Panthers’ offensive line would be game-changing. They already boast a tackle of enormous promise in Taylor Moton. So putting the Saints at left tackle would allow the franchise to save $13 million by releasing veteran Russell Okung.
It would also give Teddy Bridgewater two solid bookends to give him more time in the pocket. And All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey could benefit from improved run protection on the edge.
