How could the Carolina Panthers win without their star running back Christian McCaffrey?

The Carolina Panthers will rely heavily on star running back Christian McCaffrey going into 2020. But could they still win even if the player got hurt at any stage?

While this would undoubtedly be a cataclysmic blow to their chances of surprising people next season. The Carolina Panthers do have plenty of offensive talent on their roster that could possibly step up in his absence.

Losing someone with the game-changing ability of McCaffrey would have huge ramifications on the franchise and their new head coach Matt Rhule. This might be a season of transition for the team. But they will still need to show they’re heading in the right direction in 2020.

If McCaffrey is forced to miss a substantial period of time, it would be nothing short of a disaster. However, the likelihood appears slim as the player has proven to be very durable despite his health concerns coming out of college.

Running back is one of the more violent positions on the field. So it will be imperative that new offensive coordinator Joe Brady takes some of the pressure off his star player during games.

That might be easier said than done initially. The Panthers have a new quarterback in Teddy Bridgewater and an offensive line that comes into the new campaign with more questions than answers.

They will need McCaffrey more than ever during this period of transition. And the All-Pro has already proven more than capable of shouldering significant responsibility.

Here are three ways the Panthers could possibly win if McCaffrey gets hurt.
