What are the worst moves made by the Carolina Panthers this offseason?

It has largely positive offseason for the Carolina Panthers. The franchise is going through a rebuild and some bold moves have been made in their pursuit of mounting a playoff push in the not-too-distant future.

New head coach Matt Rhule wasted no time in stamping his mark on the organization. This has seen a wealth of veteran players depart the Carolina Panthers, leaving them with a largely unproven and young roster in 2020.

While some moves were welcome, others left experts and the Panthers’ fanbase scratching their heads. Only time will tell as to whether these decisions will pay off in the long-term. And Carolina has given Rhule and general manager Marty Hurney free rein to turn around their fortunes.

Expectations are still relatively low heading into next season. The Panthers do have a tremendous set of offensive weapons to call upon. But their defense has plenty of questions to answer.

Their offensive line is another area of the field that comes with significant concern. And Carolina’s task has not been made any easy by the restrictions currently in place due to the current climate.

Although Rhule will not be expected to get the Panthers to the postseason at the first time of asking. The team will need to show they are heading in the right direction and become an attractive proposition to 2021 free agents with much more financial wiggle room to work with next spring.
