Carolina Panthers: 3 trade targets from the Cincinnati Bengals
By Dean Jones
Which players from the Cincinnati Bengals could the Carolina Panthers acquire via trade?
The Carolina Panthers could still use some additional help on their new-look roster. They made some incredibly bold moves throughout the offseason. And it will be fascinating to see how their new-look group evolves as the campaign progresses.
One avenue the Carolina Panthers could go down in order to bolster their roster is by working out a trade for a particular player of need. In this ongoing series examining possible candidates from each NFL team, attention now turns to the Cincinnati Bengals.
This was the NFL’s worst team in 2019, and with good reason. Their lack of efficiency in moving the ball was an ongoing concern throughout the campaign. And they were nothing short of porous on the defensive side.
There was a silver lining to a season of extreme disappointment. It landed the Bengals with the No. 1 overall pick. This ultimately saw them select former LSU quarterback Joe Burrow.
Burrow guided the Tigers’ to the National Championship after one of the most dominant seasons of any player in college history. He was the clear-cut winner of the Heisman Trophy and benefitted enormously from new Panthers’ offensive coordinator Joe Brady’s expansive passing game.
He has the potential to change the fortunes of the franchise. And the Bengals had a very strong draft overall. They do find themselves in an AFC North that could be the NFL’s most competitive in 2020. So anyone expecting any immediate success might be out of luck.
Here are three Cincinnati players that could be of interest to the Panthers.
