The Carolina Panthers have the potential to make some real strides in the coming years. This transition would be further aided by a couple more key additions at positions of need.
Continuing our look at trade targets for the Carolina Panthers from each NFL team, we now turn our attention to the Chicago Bears. The NFC North team has plenty of questions to answer heading into the season. And this is no more prevalent than at the quarterback position.
Mitchell Trubisky went through some significant struggles in 2019. This has left his long-term future with the Bears in doubt after they took him No. 2 overall ahead of Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing in the NFL. But this already looks to be one of the worst decisions made by any team during the draft in recent memory. There will be additional pressure on Trubisky’s shoulder heading into training camp after Chicago acquired Nick Foles.
Although he was fairly inconsistent during his time with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Foles led the Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl victory and has a tremendous chance of earning the starting spot if he impresses.
The Bears still boast a formidable defense that is led by premier pass-rusher Khalil Mack. Their ability to perform is not in question. But their fortunes will ultimately come down to who plays under center and what sort of level they can perform.
