We picked out four players that the Carolina Panthers shouldn’t have let get away.
The Carolina Panthers have made some really bold moves over the last few seasons in free agency. This has come with moderate success and left some scratching their heads as to what direction the franchise was going in.
This has been particularly evident this offseason, the first under new head coach Matt Rhule. The Carolina Panthers let a host of veteran players find alternative employment and decided to go with a young, athletic core that offers little in the way of experience.
While it could mean good things long-term for the organization. It still leaves with more questions than answers heading into 2020. Only time will tell as to whether these moves will pay off. And the team will need to show gradual improvement as the season goes on in order to become an attractive proposition for 2021 free agents with more financial resources to work with.
Hindsight is a fantastic thing to have in the NFL. One would think the Panthers would like to have some decisions back from players they let leave in recent seasons.
Some of these have set the organization back considerably. And there are potentially some that moved on this spring that will leave the decision-makers with the same feeling.
