By Dean Jones
Wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad will go down in folklore with the Carolina Panthers, but what made the player so elite?
We are now just 87 days away before the Carolina Panthers take the field in their week one encounter against the Las Vegas Raiders. This promises to be the most intriguing campaign in recent memory for the organization, who made a wealth of changes across the board in the hope of turning around their fortunes.
What happens over their 16 games in 2020 will tells us a lot about how much we can expect from the Carolina Panthers going forward. It is also set to be a steep learning curve for head coach Matt Rhule in his first season at the helm.

When one looks at former that has worn No. 87 throughout their short history. One name jumps out as a hidden gem that went on to become one of Carolina’s greatest ever wide receivers.
Muhsin Muhammad came to the Panthers as a promising second-round prospect and quickly established himself a prolific wideout at the next level. His route-running elegance was matched by his ability to bring even in the most difficult of throws.
Here are three reasons why Muhammad was an elite player during his two spells in Carolina.
