We made three bold predictions relating to the Carolina Panthers and their 2020 NFL Draft class for next season.

The Carolina Panthers went bold with their NFL Draft class in 2020. Although it was not originally the plan, the organization allocated every selection to the defensive side of the ball. This was a league first and something that could stand the unit in good stead for the future.

New head coach Matt Rhule has got his hands full during his first official campaign at the helm. The Carolina Panthers are working with a new roster that has yet to meet in person due to social distancing measures. And it remains to be seen just how well they are going to do in the face of stern opposition.

They are going to rely on their draft picks heavily from outset, particularly those that were taken with their high-end selections. This might come with its fair share of growing pains. But learning on the job might prove to be an invaluable experience in the years to come.

The coaching staff will need to assess who is ready and who needs time to develop. This might come either during training camp or during the early stages of the season.

Carolina’s decision-makers went with some athletic and versatile players in the draft. And there is real potential for some to make their presence felt in 2020 and beyond.

It is going to be a baptism of fire for the group. But here are three bold predictions regarding the Panthers’ class of 2020 going into their first season.
