Carolina Panthers: Prediction No. 2 – Jeremy Chinn will win DROY
There is plenty of excitement surrounding second-round pick Jeremy Chinn. The former Southern Illinois safety could be one of the hidden gems of the 2020 NFL Draft if he reaches his ceiling. And the player represents a coaches’ dream in terms of how he can be utilized.
Chinn has all the makings of a prolific player at the next level. He is athletic and physical in equal measure. And the prospect also has a rare ability to be around the ball consistently.
This is something that is essential in today’s NFL. Safeties are expected to contribute more at the second level than ever before. And this is something that Chinn does with aplomb.
There is also the scope for Chinn to be used as a slot cornerback if needed. The Carolina Panthers have questions to answer in this particular area of the field. So their second-rounder might be asked to fill in at multiple positions as the season goes on.

And although the Panthers are not expected to make inroads into the postseason. There is nothing to suggest that their new recruit is not more than capable of winning individual honors.
