Carolina Panthers: 3 trade targets from the Denver Broncos
By Dean Jones
Which player from the Denver Broncos could the Carolina Panthers possibly look at getting via trade?
The Carolina Panthers have made some eye-catching moves during the first few months of Matt Rhule’s reign. The head coach has completely revamped the roster in the hope of getting the team back to prominence. And the future looks far brighter than at this point last year.
There are still some areas of the field that the Carolina Panthers need to bolster to speed up the duration of their rebuild. This could come with more disposable income in 2021 free agency. And the organization also has the possibility of acquiring a player of interest via the trade market.
Continuing our feature examining players from every NFL team that might be trade targets for the Panthers, we now turn our focus to the Denver Broncos. Former Carolina defensive coordinator Vic Fangio is now at the helm. And their roster looks primed for a good season after accumulating the right blend of youth and experience.
Although Fangio is a defensive-minded coach, he does have some primary offensive weapons that will spearhead their postseason challenge. Much will depend on the fortunes of quarterback Drew Lock, who is expected to take a huge leap forward in 2020 with a wealth of firepower around him.
The Broncos spent big to bring in running back Melvin Gordon on a two-year $16 million deal. And the spent their first-round pick on former Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, who was arguably the best prospect at the position coming out of college.
Their defense looks strong once again led by a future Pro Football Hall of Famer in Von Miller. So it would be a shock if they were not right in the thick of things.
Here are three possible trade targets that the Panthers could consider acquiring from the Broncos.
