Here are three reasons why the Carolina Panthers will probably struggle in 2020.
The Carolina Panthers are set to go through their fair share of struggles in 2020. This is probably expected by both the coaching staff and the team’s fanbase during the first year of their rebuild. And this bears more significance when one considers just how many changes have been made across the board.
New head coach Matt Rhule has wasted no time in making his mark on the Carolina Panthers. He has assembled an intriguing staff and a roster that might be lacking experience. But they do look a lot more dynamic than the roster that finished up in 2019.
Development is going to more key than results at this particular stage. If the Panthers want to become contenders in the near future. They will need to show glimpses of promise before another crucial offseason next year.
With the likes of Cam Newton and Luke Kuechly no longer on the roster. It also looks devoid of leadership. And this is another element that might cause concern unless others don’t step up and fill the void.
Things might get worse before they get better in Carolina. But there is nothing to suggest the team can go into the season with a sense of encouragement. Low expectations might actually work in their favor. But success is not going to happen overnight and everyone involved will need some semblance of patience during the expected growing pains.
