Carolina Panthers: What does Teddy Bridgewater need to do in 2020?

Teddy Bridgewater is on a hiding to nothing during his first year with the Carolina Panthers. Every poor decision he makes will be met with calls that getting rid of Cam Newton was a mistake. But there some things he can do to get the doubters back onside.

While there are some questions surrounding the defensive side of the ball. If the Panthers’ offensive line holds up, then the offense has the scope to put some significant points on the board.

He will have a solid security blanket in the form of All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey to lean on during his initial period of transition. And this should be especially evident during the first few weeks of the season due to the lack of time spent together before the campaign gets underway.

Bridgewater will need to keep the chains moving, something he has had success doing throughout his career. The Panthers have some deep ball threats in Robby Anderson and D.J. Moore. But the team also possesses players such as McCaffrey, Ian Thomas, and Curtis Samuel who can do some damage over intermediate routes.

If the signal-caller can do this and limit his mistakes, then it might get people thinking differently about his ability to lead the team back to prominence. Bridgewater has worked hard for this opportunity. And his determined character should ensure that he doesn’t let it pass him bye.
