Carolina Panthers trade target: Zach Fulton (OL)

The Carolina Panthers look a bit short-handed on their offensive line going into the season. They boast plenty of outstanding offensive weapons. But if quarterback Teddy Bridgewater cannot get enough time to go through his progressions. It is going to be a long campaign for the organization.

Whether they are in a position to trade for a lineman at the current time is up for debate. The decision-makers haven’t been afraid to go bold with moves this offseason. And they have shown a willingness to move money around if it will benefit their aspirations.

One player that would definitely attract some interest if Carolina chose to go in this particular direction is Zach Fulton. The Houston Texans guard is a commanding presence on the interior that is incredibly tough to move off the block.

The former sixth-round pick out of Tennessee enjoyed a bounce-back year after struggling in 2018. He gave up just one sack and this might have saved him from a possible release to ease salary cap concerns.

Fulton is due to make $8 million in base salary over the next two seasons. So the financial outlay isn’t going to be that great for a player that would be a huge upgrade on what the Panthers have to work with currently.
