3 reasons Cam Newton will thrive on the New England Patriots

Carolina Panthers Reason No. 1: Cam Newton’s mobility
For all Tom Brady’s qualities, he was not the most mobile quarterback that’s ever stepped onto the field. The same cannot be said for Cam Newton, who almost revolutionized the position during his time with the Carolina Panthers and is going to transform the way New England can work on offense.
While his passing accuracy has been something of concern throughout his career. Newton’s ability to make plays out of nothing is something that the Patriots haven’t had for almost two decades. He is a physically imposing signal-caller that has no trouble beating opposing defenders with his arm, or on the move.
This made him one of the NFL’s most feared quarterbacks in his prime. And Newton could be set for a new lease of life given that he has spent virtually the last 18 months on the sidelines.
His body has taken an incredible amount of punishment during his career with the Panthers. This eventually took its toll. But with plenty of time to recuperate and reflect on his game. One suspects that Newton might return to the form of old providing no more problems surface.
Having a mobile quarterback is something that is needed more often than not in today’s NFL. Pass-rushers are getting faster and get in the backfield at a rapid rate. But if a team has someone who is able to get out of the pocket and still make plays downfield. They are always going to be in with a chance.
