Carolina Panthers: 4 exciting storylines heading into 2020

Carolina Panthers Storyline No. 3: The D.J. Moore/Robby Anderson tandem
The acquisition of quarterback Teddy Bridgewater might have been given more prominent headlines. But the Carolina Panthers might have pulled off a masterstroke with the free-agent signing of Robby Anderson.
The talented wide receiver penned a fully guaranteed two-year, $20 million to link up with former college coach Matt Rhule once again. And his tandem with D.J. Moore is going to be an exciting storyline to watch in 2020.
Anderson might not have reached the 1,000-yard milestone during his career. But that has plenty to do with the lack of consistent quarterback play during his time with the New York Jets. With Bridgewater set to distribute the ball far better than any signal-caller that the wideout has ever had before. It could propel his statistics to new heights.
Having Moore on the opposite side of the field is also going to do Anderson’s chances the world of good. The former first-round pick looks set to become one of the NFL’s next big stars at the position. And it is going to be extremely difficult for opposing defenses to focus on both receivers with Christian McCaffrey in the backfield.
All this is without considering the impact that offensive coordinator Joe Brady is going to have on both Moore and Anderson. The LSU passing guru is set to put them to work early and often in a bid to stretch the field. And the sky is the limit for the duo if they reach their expectations.
