Which players from the Indianapolis Colts could the Carolina Panthers possibly look to acquire via trade to boost their overall fortunes going forward?

The Carolina Panthers go into the 2020 season with a roster and coaching staff that is far different from what finished the previous campaign. One could argue that these substantial changes have been needed for quite some time. And it leaves the organization will plenty of hope for the future.

This might not immediately result in a turnaround in fortunes for the Carolina Panthers. But rebuilding takes time in any form. New head coach Matt Rhule normally needs a year to get his plan in place if his time in college is any indication. So the benefits of this overhaul might not be seen until 2021.

Although the roster has a more youthful exuberance about it that was sorely lacking last time around. They are relatively devoid of any real starting experience and it remains to be seen just how they will fare in a tough division.

Continuing our feature examining possible trade candidates for the Panthers from every NFL team, we now turn our attention to the Indianapolis Colts. The organization looks primed for a tilt at a postseason berth at the very least in 2020. And this is down in no small part to their free-agent acquisition of quarterback Philip Rivers.

The gunslinger ended a long association with the Los Angeles Chargers this spring. And Rivers represents a significant upgrade on Jacoby Brissett if the player still has something left in the tank.

He will be working behind an elite offensive line for arguably the first time in his career. And the Colts do have some playmakers such as T.Y. Hilton and Jack Doyle.

Their defense has come on leaps and bounds over the last two seasons. And the arrival of defensive lineman DeForest Buckner should further boost their prospects. Here are three players that the Panthers might be interested in acquiring from the Colts if they choose to go in this particular direction.
