Carolina Panthers: 4 players who can’t get complacent in 2020

Carolina Panthers Player No. 4: Tre Boston (S)
Much will be expected of safety Tre Boston next season with the Carolina Panthers. He is now one of the veterans on the roster following a number of big losses. And it is vital that the player lives up to his billing both on the field and in the locker room.
Boston thrived during the first year of his second spell in Carolina. This was enough for the Panthers to give him a three-year, $18 million contract extension this offseason when other established players were moved on.
The player has been hugely complimentary about the positive culture shift in Carolina following the arrival of owner David Tepper. And it is clear that Boston will do all he can to ensure the team trends on an upward curve sooner rather than later.
Carolina goes into the season with more questions than answers regarding their secondary. Only Boston and Donte Jackson remains from prominent starters across the board in 2019. And this is another hurdle they must overcome if the team wants to surprise people this time around.
If Boston suffers any sort of complacency during the season. Then this has the potential to cripple the Panthers’ backend. He will need to be at the top of his game to give his side the best possible chance of succeeding. And any regression in his play could pile more pressure on second-round pick Jeremy Chinn, who could be a day one starter alongside Boston is he outperforms Juston Burris in training camp.
