Carolina Panthers Draft: Justin Fields’ college production
Justin Fields was a hotly coveted high school prospect that eventually committed to Georgia. Things did not go as expected for the player during his first season. And he found opportunities limited behind No. 1 option Jake Fromm.
The quarterback completed 27 of 39 passes on his way to 328 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions in his freshman year. Fields was used more like a running signal-caller for the Bulldogs, securing 266 yards and four scores from 42 carries.

His lack of playing time in 2018 concerned Fields enough for the player to make an eye-catching transfer to Ohio State. This proved to be an inspired decision and saw the gunslinger take his game to a completely different level.
Fields was at his brilliant best from start to finish for the Buckeyes. He completed 67.2 percent of his passes to record 3,273 yards, 41 touchdowns, and just three interceptions. This also included a yards-per-completion average of 9.2 and a passing efficiency rating of 181.4.
This also came with his customary elusiveness in the pocket and on running downs. Fields carried the ball 137 times for 484 rushing yards, ten touchdowns, and a yards-per-carry average of 3.5.
The player received the third position in the Heisman Trophy voting. More importantly, it saw him emerge as one of the brightest prospects anywhere in the country ahead of a crucial 2020 campaign.
