Which members of the Carolina Panthers could find themselves on the front cover of the Madden game series in the future?

Getting on the cover of Madden is a prestigious honor for any player. Although it might seem unlikely given their current place in the NFL pecking order. The Carolina Panthers do have some candidates to potentially be cover stars in the future.

The dreaded “Madden Curse” is something that has blighted players throughout history. This seems to have diminished over the years. And popular video game on seems to be going from strength to strength.

This year’s cover star is Lamar Jackson. And few would argue he is not fully deserving of such an accolade. The quarterback was absolutely scintillating during the regular season for the Baltimore Ravens on his way to a 91.1 grade from Pro Football Focus and the 2019 NFL MVP Award.

The production Jackson delivered last time around is the sort of level that players have to reach in order to see their faces on the Madden front. Give the relative lack of experience within the Carolina Panthers currently. It might be some time before someone from the organization is give this distinction.

There is nothing to suggest that a small handful of the Panthers’ roster could not make a run at this in the coming years. Some look more ready than others. And much will depend on just how long the rebuild under new head coach Matt Rhule is going to take.

Here are three contenders for the Madden cover if they perform to the level expected in 2020 and beyond.
